Egnatia Odos :
After years and years of driving the Katara Route or the E 96 via Kastoria there
is hope. In the last years big parts of the motorway (Egnatia Odos) iare ready to
use.

Since 2006 it is possible to shortcut the way to the Katara Pass from the port
of Igoumenitsa. From there heading north to Saloniki it is better to take the
road to Greneva with the almost finished part of the motorway from there to Saloniki
and beyond.

Since 2005 the bridge at Rio is ready for crossing to the Peloponnese .

On the Peloponnes the motorway still ends near Tripoli.

A nice walk is round the rock of Nauplia and along the coast into the next bay.

Best time to visit the theatre of Epidaurus is early in the morning before the
tour coaches arrive.

Greek police is seen now more often on the roads checking speed limits.

The road from Patra to Korinthos can be a devils' ride especially at night when
trucks start to race.

Best ferries are the Blue Star Ferries also a little more expensive than the
others.
